Our Journey

It all began on my (Desi) 2nd birthday, my grandma bought me my first pony and I was hooked. In the early days we had Quarter Horses and when I was 12 I got my first Arabian. I then entered the show ring with my family there with me every step of the way. My mom was your typical "show mom" always with a brush and towel in her back pocket touching the horse up before we entered the ring. My sister (Mary) seemed to always have the job of "ribbon girl" at all the shows. My "mema" and "pepa" were always there in the stands cheering me on.

Alot has changed since those days, but the love of horses has not. My "mema" and "pepa" have since passed on and now we have replaced our "spirited" Arabians with the amazing level head of the Gypsy Horses.

This new Journey began in 2003 when I saw a picture of a Gypsy Horse in a magazine. I didn't know anything about them so like everyone else does these days-- I googled them. For the next year I was putting away all that I could waiting for that one special horse to come along and in September of 2004 he did. When I first saw "Keebler" I knew he was the ONE. To this day he still amazes me with his great demeanor and loving personality. He is really a puppy wrapped up in all that hair. He is a pleasure to work with and I count my blessings everyday that he has joined our family.

CHAPTER 2

As time went on this love of Gypsies really became a family affair. My sister Mary bought her first Gypsy horse in February of 2005. Then shortly after my mom Maxine fell in love with one of my mares, so my step dad Dwight bought her from me for my mom in late 2006. Soon after they added two more mares to their herd and just recently a new colt and three new foals. My sister has also just purchased a new colt as well. Our herd just keeps getting bigger and bigger. Be sure to check out the rest of our web site for pictures of everyone and my info. My own her has grown to 7 Gypsy mares and 2 outstanding Gypsy stallions along with 2 drum mares. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think we would have such a wonderful group of horses with much sought after bloodlines.
